O! Wise One...

With Teachers' Day coming up, we decided to revive some old school memories, with this colorful greeting card!

All the elements - the pencil, ruler, notepad- are handmade using different textured papers.
We are linking this card to FMS101 as part of their weekly sketch challenge.
Tell us what you think of this one. :)

Happy Rakhi, dear sister!

Check out the new Rakhi greeting cards, freshly made, with utmost love and affection for your dearest sister.

Check out the metallic SISTER charm hanging on to the patterned paper. This can be reused as a mobile hanging charm or added to your keyring. Cute, isn't it?

I would love to know what you think of this greeting card.

Contact me via email or comments if you would like to send this to your dear sister, this Raksha Bandhan. :-)

Bon Voyage!

Hello everyone!

I couldn't wait to share anew greeting card I created.
It is very simply done, using some marker pens, brown card-stock as the base, and text-printed paper.

Have a look!

When I first came across Freshly Made Sketches, I was awe-struck with the participation on the weekly contests. I looked at their currently ongoing weekly challenge FMS96 and tried to style my card on this sketch.
What do you think? This is my first ever participation in a craft challenge, and yes, I am super excited!
This card was made for a friend visiting the United States. The tag in the inspiration sketch was just appropriate to say "Bon Voyage". Instead of attaching a twine to the tag, I punched a spiral at the edge. The card inner reads "All the BEST" in metallic gold.

Until we meet again,
NM

'Cos they blossom your lives

Friendship day is coming up, and what's better than sending your dearest pals handmade greetings?
Add a personalized touch with these cards, which are inspired by #week1 Artspiration.

The flowers are handcrafted on parchment paper; I've added a dash of metallic gold and silver to highlight the flowers. The sentiment inside the card can be personalized to make your friend feel extra special!

Both cards come along with cute "BEST FRIENDS" friendship bands!

#Week1 Artspiration

We are in love with floral prints!

Those absolutely stunning, colorful and bright prints on your bedsheets, wallpapers, and shirts?
The bed cover in my room is adorned with onion-pink and chocolate brown flowers on a copper-brown backdrop. Onion-pink and chocolate brown! :-)

When you think floral, you think summer.
When I think floral, I think  "cheer".

And, that's why I decided to begin this first week at Week-A-New with "floral prints" as our artspiration.

Check out these floral wallpaper prints I sourced from the net. Aren't they lovely?

Coming up are a couple of greeting cards - the first of our lot - with pretty flowers in blossom.
What do you think should be the sentiments on those cards? Should they be Thank You cards or Birthday greetings?

Comment and tell me what you think.

Blossoms,
NM
